Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Foreman to oversee our groundworks operations in Wolverhampton. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing a team of skilled laborers, ensuring projects are completed on time and to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and schedule the work of laborers, operators, and subcontractors to maximize efficiency and productivity
  • Inspect work in progress and completed groundworks to verify compliance with plans, specifications, and safety requirements
  • Identify and troubleshoot any issues or challenges that arise, proposing solutions to keep projects on track
  • Maintain detailed records of project progress, labour, and equipment usage
  • Ensure a safe work environment by enforcing safety protocols and procedures
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a foreman or supervisor in groundworks/site preparation
  • Strong knowledge of excavation, grading, drainage, and other common groundworks techniques
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications
  • Proficient in using equipment like backhoes, excavators, compactors, and other heavy machinery
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
