Job Title: Town Planner / Planning Consultant

Join a highly regarded and leading architectural practice in Winchester and London locations. We are seeking an experienced Town Planner who is looking for a varied and strategic role with a practice that boasts an unrivalled portfolio of projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and submit planning applications and appeals, including managing the pre-application process and planning notes on land and buildings
  • Provide guidance on local and national planning frameworks
  • Provide strategic advice on planning framework and law, developing strategies for approval of sensitive projects
  • Coordinate the preparation of Planning Statements, Design and Access Statements, and contribute to Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs)
  • Assist clients with the planning process and provide solutions to overcome planning challenges
  • Negotiate with local authorities and key stakeholders
  • Provide strategies to internal teams and be a primary point of contact for planning related matters
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of industry experience, private or public sector
  • Proven background working on a variety of projects including historical/listed buildings and sensitive projects
  • Experience with projects across London and Hampshire, ideally with relationships in both locations
  • Ideally degree qualified in town planning, urban design, or similar
