Harnham is partnering with a leading gaming company to find a seasoned Data Architect to spearhead the migration to their new cloud data platform.

About the Company

This global business has been a pioneer in sports betting data and technology for over 20 years, renowned for its cutting-edge solutions and personalized approach to customer relationships. The CDO is seeking a senior-level Data Architect to lead the data architecture of their new cloud platform.

The Role

As a Data Architect, you will be responsible for growing the data engineering capability, leading the team, and architecting the data warehouse. You will also help introduce ML/AI capabilities.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Migrating from on-premise to the cloud, you will help architect the new cloud platform
  • Implementing streaming technologies in real-time
  • Collaborating with analysts and introducing ML models
  • Designing and building the team

Requirements

The successful Data Architect will have:

  • Experience building a data warehouse using Snowflake
  • Strong knowledge of cloud environments, preferably in AWS
  • Proficiency in Python and Airflow for pipeline orchestration

Desirable skills include:

  • Gambling or financial/trading experience
  • Mentorship and leadership skills
  • Experience with migration projects
