As a Graduate Process Safety Engineer, you will be part of the company's Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) team, responsible for ensuring the safe and environmentally responsible operation of the Grain Liquified Natural Gas (LNG) Terminal.
Your key responsibilities will include developing and implementing safety and environmental management systems, managing visiting contractors, and conducting data analysis to identify areas for improvement. You will also attend process safety hazard analysis studies and contribute to the development of key performance indicators.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to the company's goal of delivering safe and reliable energy to the UK and Europe.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement safety and environmental management systems to ensure compliance with COMAH and the site Environmental permit
- Manage visiting contractors undertaking periodic maintenance and improvements to on-site safety and environmental equipment
- Conduct data analysis of process operations, safety system demands, site energy use, and emissions
- Attend and contribute to process safety hazard analysis studies, including HAZOP, LOPA, Human Reliability Analysis, FMECA, and others
- Attend lean production meetings to facilitate reduction of waste in business processes and develop key performance indicators
- Support the terminal project teams delivering the CAP 25 expansion project with safety and environmental queries and terminal readiness tasks
- Manage and close HAZOP, LOPA, and safety study actions
- Field on-site safety and environmental engineering queries
As a graduate, you will be part of a 18-month development programme that will equip you with the skills and knowledge required to succeed in your role. You will attend in-person and virtual development sessions, receive coaching and mentoring, and have access to a range of learning resources.
The programme is designed to help you develop a wide range of leadership, business, and technical skills, and you will have the opportunity to work on real-world projects and contribute to the company's goals.
What You'll Need to ApplyYou will need to achieve a minimum 2:2 in an Engineering-related degree. It doesn't matter when you graduated or if you are currently working towards your qualification.
You will need flexibility to travel within the role and throughout your rotations as required.
To be eligible to apply for this role, candidates must be able to demonstrate that they will have the legal right to work in the UK for the duration of the graduate programme.
LocationThis role is based in Warwick, offering flexible hybrid working, where possible.
What You'll Get in ReturnWe are proud to offer a graduate starting salary of £34,895. You will also receive a £2,000 bonus once joined and started on the programme, 26 days holiday, and a £2,400 payment on successful completion of the programme.
