Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Kinovo Group plc. The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking all aspects of quantity surveying / estimating from pre-contract through to post contract services in line with our Clients requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maximise value recovery, cost control and cash management on projects.
- Commercially manage and control sub-contractor packages on projects.
- Protection of the Company's contractual position on all contracts.
- Produce accounts on projects worked on.
- Prepare financial reports, final accounts and claim documents as required.
- Review contract conditions and provide risk management advice to understand the company's contractual obligations.
- Produce budgetary advice including cash flows.
- Ensure sub-contractor orders are placed in due time and in a way that protects the Company's contractual position.
- Prepare valuations and issue all appropriate notices in line with the Company's policies and the contractual terms.
- Produce reports as required including the preparation of CVR information.
- Produce and keep adequate records in order to safeguard the Company's contractual position
- Compliance with both ours and Clients management systems
Requirements:
- Be fully competent in MS Office and other company specific applications with exceptional mathematical skills.
- Building Regulations and other industry standards (essential)
- All forms of Contract, including traditional, partnering and Local Authority style frameworks (essential)
- HNC or Degree in Quantity Surveying qualification/RICS Professional membership preferred.
- Experience of the social housing market
- Ability to work to deadlines and targets and prioritise tasks under pressure.
- Excellent attention to detail, accuracy and ability to check own and others' work.
- Relevant Trade background a distinct advantage for pricing knowledge.
