Folkestone Academies Trust - Unpaid Finance Governance Opportunity

Estimated salary range: £8,000 - £12,000 per annum.

The Folkestone Academies Trust is seeking dedicated individuals to join our board as finance trustees. As a trustee, you will have the chance to contribute your skills and experience towards shaping the future of our trust. The role requires both strategic planning and financial oversight, working alongside a team passionate about education.

We are particularly looking for individuals with expertise in data analysis, human resources, or finance who can bring fresh perspectives to our board. However, we welcome candidates from all backgrounds and industries.

  • You will be part of a team that establishes and ensures a clear vision, ethos, and strategic direction for the trust.
  • Holding school leaders accountable for educational performance and ensuring sound financial management are key responsibilities.

Our trust board meets six times a year, with an additional Finance, Audit, and Risk Committee meeting five times annually. This unpaid position comes with a 4-year term of office and comprehensive training and induction.
