Job Description

Job Title: Building and Facilities Manager

Job Summary:

Ikon Gallery is seeking a highly skilled Building and Facilities Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing our main building, temporary premises, and canal narrowboat (Slow Boat).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a mixture of hard and soft facilities management services and projects.
  • Manage tenant service charges.
  • Ensure any building project works and fit outs are coordinated and well managed, ensuring full compliance with health and safety legislation.
  • Manage all required property support services to ensure Ikon fulfils its obligations and organisational priorities.
  • Ensure the premises are fit for purpose.
  • Ensure the provision is safe and legally compliant.
  • Manage security.
  • Ensure damage is repaired.
  • Manage lifecycle maintenance.
  • Manage energy management.
  • Manage financial management.
  • Support on wider project workstreams.

Requirements:

  • Strong facilities management experience.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
