Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Locksmith Trainee to join our team at Elite Doors. As a Locksmith Trainee, you will be responsible for repairing, rebuilding, and servicing mechanical cylinder devices, as well as disassembling locks and repairing or replacing worn parts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Repair and rebuild mechanical cylinder devices using hand tools and special equipment.
• Disassemble locks, such as padlocks and door locks, and repair or replace worn tumblers, springs, and other parts.
• Cut duplicate or new keys using key-cutting machines, impressions, or code key machines.
• Interpret Master Keying guide and use appropriate discretion to preserve the integrity of the restricted master key system.
• Serve customers at a busy Trade Counter.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical locking systems.
• Assist with Stocktake.

Requirements:

• Full training will be provided.
• Basic numeracy, literacy, and computer skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
• Good communication skills.
• Good customer skills.
• Good telephone manner.
• Ability to work under pressure.
