Manchester, United Kingdom London Bridge Hospital Full time

Specialist Cancer Care Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Oncology Unit Sister to join our team at London Bridge Hospital. As a specialist cancer care nurse, you will be responsible for delivering high standards of holistic care to patients with cancer.

The Oncology Inpatient Unit at London Bridge Hospital enables nurses to deliver high standards of care to patients with cancer, and each member of the team has specific expertise in treating and supporting patients through their cancer diagnosis, treatment and beyond.

You will work alongside an experienced nursing team to assess, plan, deliver and evaluate high standards of specialist care while also being an advocate for the patient, ensuring all their medical, physical and emotionally needs are met by communicating effectively with them and their families.

This is a great opportunity to make a significant difference to the unit and its patients. In return, you will have the chance to build a career at the forefront of cancer care with access to groundbreaking treatments currently not licensed on the NHS.

You will also have more autonomy day to day, with our clinical teams being very nurse-led, giving you more control over assessment and treatment decisions while having the support you need to develop your career into Sister or Matron roles.

What you'll bring:

  • A current NMC Nurse registration
  • Significant post-registration experience within an oncology setting
  • Up-to-date knowledge and experience in administering SACT
  • Experience of managing and leading a clinical team
