About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Maintenance Assistant at a prestigious educational establishment. As a key member of the Estate team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and providing excellent support to our staff and students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Report to and liaise with the Head of Maintenance regarding all issues related to maintenance and administration of the estate.
  • Carry out all building and site repairs, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Assist with preventative maintenance, ordering parts and chemicals as needed.
  • Maintain and ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations.
  • Undertake regular checks, including legionella flush, carbon-monoxide checks, and fire extinguisher checks.
  • Assist the groundsman with gardening duties and perform carpentry, painting, and decorating tasks as required.
  • Drive the minibuses and be on call for out-of-hours duties.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to deliver excellent service.
Requirements
  • Excellent maintenance skills, with electrical certification an advantage.
  • Full, clean driving license.
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
