This exciting opportunity will see you develop new consumer electronic products for a globally established brand. You will be based near Redditch and will benefit from a starting salary of up to £55,000, flexible working, annual bonus with regular pay reviews and opportunities to travel overseas.

As a Senior Design Engineer, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the development of whole products as well as mechanisms and sub-assemblies using robust 3D CAD modelling tools such as SolidWorks and/or CREO.
  • Performing tolerance analysis to ensure high quality robust design of complex mechanical systems and components using tools such as FMEA, CFD and computer simulation.
  • End-to-end project management of multiple projects from concept through to manufacture, working with other Design Engineers to ensure projects run on time and to budget.
  • Rapid prototyping, functional lab testing and analysis of test data.
  • Working with external manufacturing partners and other suppliers.
About You:

We are looking for a highly experienced Design Engineer who has a proven track record in developing plastic injection molded components and enclosures for mass manufacture. You should have experience working in the Far-East with suppliers and manufacturers for product production, as well as experience in medical devices, consumer electronics or household/kitchen appliances.

You will need to possess excellent 3D CAD proficiency, preferably in SolidWorks and/or CREO, and hold a degree level qualification in Product Design, Mechanical Engineering, Product or Innovation Engineering.
