The main function of this post is to maintain high levels of cleanliness throughout designated areas and provide a catering service to patients. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the hospital environment remains safe and clean for our patients, visitors, and staff.


Key Responsibilities



  • Maintaining cleanliness throughout assigned areas, including lifting items and operating industrial cleaning equipment
  • Undertaking specialist cleaning tasks as required under the guidance of the Facilities Supervisor and/or Nurse in Charge
  • Assisting with meal distribution and plating up meals to meet dietary requirements
  • Making and distributing hot drinks and cleaning and refilling water jugs

Requirements


To be successful in this role, you will need:



  • A good basic education, including reading and writing skills, and basic numeric abilities
  • A willingness to complete relevant qualifications and training, such as Food Hygiene Level 2 and customer service training
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
