Aston Charles is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Insurance Underwriter

to join their team in Leeds. As a key member of the underwriting team, you will be responsible for underwriting renewal cases, collaborating with the claims team, developing relationships with the technical department and wider business, and providing excellent service to brokers.

The ideal candidate will have experience in Property (Commercial or Domestic) and/or Liability underwriting, however full training will be provided. A well-organised and efficient individual with excellent communication skills is essential.

Salary: £45,000 per annum, plus a lucrative bonus scheme and corporate benefits including pension contributions and financial bonuses for passing CII qualifications.

About the role:

  • Underwrite renewal cases and develop relationships with the technical department and wider business
  • Collaborate with the claims team to ensure smooth processing of claims
  • Provide excellent service to brokers and develop strong relationships with them
  • Prioritise renewals and get involved in interesting ad hoc projects

Requirements:

  • Experience in Property (Commercial or Domestic) and/or Liability underwriting
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • CII qualifications an advantage
