We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Academic Leader to join our reputable secondary school in Wolverhampton. The successful candidate will be committed to delivering excellent teaching across KS4 and KS5, working collaboratively with the school team to ensure all students receive a positive and engaging learning experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lesson Planning: Develop and deliver exciting and engaging lessons that challenge and inspire secondary students to reach their full potential.
  • Student Progress: Monitor and assess students' progress, keeping regular records of their academic performance.
  • Classroom Management: Create a positive learning environment that is both safe and conducive for learning, using effective classroom management strategies to ensure an orderly and safe learning environment.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with school management, teaching staff, and parents to provide quality academic support for secondary students.
  • School Activities: Prepare and participate in school-related activities such as performances, events, and parent/teacher meetings.
  • Safeguarding: Adhere to safeguarding policies and promote the welfare of all children.
Requirements:
  • Qualifications: QTS or equivalent, degree in relative field, recognized qualification in teaching.
  • Skills: Excellent classroom management skills, ability to engage and motivate learners, strong interpersonal skills, sound knowledge of the national curriculum.
  • Personal Qualities: Passion for teaching, making a difference in students' lives, adaptability in teaching styles, ability to communicate effectively.
Salary and Benefits:

The salary for this position will be paid to scale on a permanent contract following the MPS/UPS pay scale within the National pay scale, approximately £35,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
