About the Role

We are seeking a skilled HGV Mechanic to join our team at Kinaxia Logistics. As a key member of our workshop team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient maintenance of our fleet of vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Complete all defect repairs, fault diagnosis, and maintenance requirements to ensure all vehicles, trailers, and equipment are kept in a safe working condition.
  • Collaboration: Assist colleagues as needed to maintain an efficient service and ensure all areas of the workshop and equipment are maintained in a safe operating condition.
  • Administrative Tasks: Complete all paperwork clearly, accurately, and in a timely fashion, including job cards, inspection forms, and other necessary documentation.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Prepare, present, and accompany vehicles and trailers for annual MOT inspections to ensure they pass and carry out periodic safety inspections to ensure compliance with DVSA inspection standards.
  • Health and Safety: Always adhere to workplace health and safety standards, including the wearing of appropriate PPE, and ensure compliance with regulatory body regulations and standards.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: A mechanical qualification is essential.
  • Industry Experience: Transport industry experience is desirable.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Continued up-to-date knowledge of vehicle maintenance rules and regulations, latest techniques, technology, and vehicle models, and the ability to implement technological knowledge into practice.
  • Personal Qualities: Organisational and time management skills, dedication, reliability, and the ability to demonstrate, understand, and apply our company values: Safe, Talented, Attentive, Reliable.
