Immunisation Nurse Specialist

About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Immunisation Nurse to join our team at Hereford Medical Group. As an Immunisation Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality vaccination services to our patients in the surgery, at home, and in residential settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct clinical assessments of patients for vaccination, reviewing medical history and potential adverse reactions.
- Provide immunisation services to registered patients in the surgery, at home, and in residential and nursing homes.
- Administer vaccinations to children and adults in line with national childhood and adult programmes, including seasonal campaigns.
- Supervise and support Healthcare Assistants as required on-site.
- Work within national guidelines, written instructions, and Patient Group Directives.
- Travel to various locations, including lone working.
- Document all patient contacts as appropriate on our clinical system.
Requirements
- 1st level NMC Registered General Nurse with at least three years post-registration experience.
- Safeguarding training.
- Ability to demonstrate enthusiasm, use own judgement, and work without direct supervision.
- Excellent communication skills and a commitment to professional development.
- Flexibility of working hours and access to own car for home and care home visits.
