Job Title: Part-time Writing Faculty

Job Description: The Humanities and Arts Department at Worcester Polytechnic Institute seeks a part-time writing faculty member to teach a course on Writing about Science and Technology. The ideal candidate will have a PhD in Professional/Technical Communication, Writing and Rhetoric, or a related field. They should demonstrate teaching excellence and versatility, as well as an ability to jump into an existing curriculum with creative and critical pedagogical approaches.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach introductory courses, intermediate seminars, and advanced topic practicums and seminars.
  • Develop and implement effective teaching methods and materials.
  • Contribute to the development of the writing program.

Qualifications:

  • PhD in Professional/Technical Communication, Writing and Rhetoric, or a related field.
  • Teaching experience in writing and rhetoric.
  • Ability to work with international students and students whose language is not English.
