About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Biomedical Scientist to lead our Digital Pathology team. As a senior member of the laboratory team, you will be responsible for supervising staff members and deputising for the Laboratory manager. You will maintain standard operating procedures and competency training documents, and develop and present reports at meetings. Your attention to detail and organisational skills will be crucial in maintaining accurate records of sample collection, transportation, and storage conditions, and implementing quality control measures to ensure the accuracy and reliability of test results.

Essential Requirements:
A Degree in biomedical science, biology, chemistry, or a related field is essential, along with current HCPC registration as a Biomedical Scientist. A minimum of 3 years experience in Histology, Immunohistochemistry, Special stains, Embedding, Microtome, cutting sections is required, along with proficiency in a wide range of laboratory techniques. Strong data analysis skills and knowledge of quality control and quality assurance principles are also necessary.
