Job Title: Speech and Language Therapist Team Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Speech and Language Therapist to lead our Liaison and Diversion team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and delivering interventions that support the implementation of the Speech and Language Liaison and Diversion agenda.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead on the development, organisation, quality, and governance of Speech and Language Therapist provision.
  • Provide expert advice to speech and language therapists, senior clinicians, and Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) across Thames Valley.
  • Attend police stations, custody suites, community settings, and magistrates' courts to provide specialist speech and language assessments and advice.
  • Work closely and build links with all referring agencies within the custody suite, court, and probation.
  • Deliver specialist training on Speech and Language needs within Criminal Justice pathways to custody sergeants, magistrates, and other key stakeholders.
