NHS Supply Chain is seeking a skilled Auditor to join our team in a challenging and rewarding role. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for completing our risk-based assurance programme, providing assurance over our contracts with key third-party providers.
The purpose of this role is to ensure that our Service Providers are complying with the financial requirements of the contracts, as well as other key contractual obligations. This involves conducting cost audits and contract audits to identify potential issues and provide recommendations for improvement.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting cost audits to ensure that costs charged against open book contracts are valid.
- Conducting contract audits to ensure that appropriate controls are in place to meet key contract obligations.
- Developing and completing audit fieldwork based on the agreed audit approach.
- Gathering sufficient, reliable audit evidence to support conclusions.
- Documenting audit fieldwork to provide a clear and repeatable record of the work completed and associated conclusions.
- Reviewing potential issues with the Audit Manager and validating them with the auditee.
- Regularly updating the auditee about the audit's progress and any emerging issues.
- Evaluating internal control systems to ensure risk management, accuracy, and safeguards are in place for company assets.
- Preparing and presenting comprehensive reports detailing audit findings and recommendations for improvements.
- Working with a wide range of stakeholders during reviews and assisting in resolving audit queries.
