Senior Software Engineer Embedded Systems

Orion Electrotech is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our team in Horsham. As a key member of our electro-optics company, you will be responsible for leading the full software development lifecycle, from concept design to detailed design, coding, and testing.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead the software development lifecycle, ensuring project success through collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams.
  2. Develop robust embedded software with a focus on fault management, reporting, and system health monitoring.
  3. Work closely with customers to integrate solutions, provide on-site commissioning support, and resolve issues.
  4. Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including interface control documents and fault management lists.
  5. Provide technical guidance to project managers, offering insights to manage risks, solutions, and project timelines.
Requirements:
  1. Strong degree in a related field.
  2. Expertise in embedded software design and a strong understanding of associated hardware.
  3. Proficiency in C/C++ for embedded applications.
  4. Experience leading technical software projects.
Desirable Experience:
  1. Embedded software/firmware development.
  2. Desktop application development: QT, Visual Studio, networking (TCP/UDP).
  3. Experience with tools such as GIT, Jira, and unit testing technologies.
