Job Title: Language Education Specialist

A highly reputable secondary school in Lambeth, part of the Wayman Learning Trust, is seeking a qualified and enthusiastic French and Spanish teacher to join their dynamic Modern Foreign Languages department on a full-time permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced teacher or a Newly Qualified Teacher (NQT) to contribute to a thriving learning environment and inspire students in their language acquisition journey.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in French or Spanish or a related field, as well as Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. A proven track record of teaching French and Spanish at the secondary school level is preferred but not essential for NQTs.

This role offers a competitive salary in accordance with the Main Pay Scale (MPS) or Upper Pay Scale (UPS), ranging from M1 to UPS3, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additionally, you will receive a comprehensive induction program and ongoing professional development opportunities, as well as a supportive and collaborative working environment within a well-resourced MFL department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver engaging French and Spanish lessons to students across Key Stages 3-5.
  • Differentiate instruction to cater to diverse learning needs and abilities.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to foster continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues within the MFL department and across the school to enhance teaching and learning strategies.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of curriculum developments and innovative teaching methodologies in language education.

Estimated Salary: £45,000 - £65,000 per annum.
