Railway Interior Maintenance Lead

We require an experienced and motivated individual to lead our train cleaning team at Carlisle Station. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring that all trains meet the highest cleanliness standards, adhering to strict protocols.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead a team of 2 operatives to deliver exceptional cleaning results
- Communicate effectively with colleagues across different departments to ensure smooth train presentation
- Clean and maintain interior spaces, including floors, toilets and other areas
- Regularly audit and review performance to maintain high standards
The role demands flexibility, including night shifts, such as 20:00pm – 06:00am, on varying shift patterns, such as 3 on 2 off, 2 on 3 off or 2 on 2 off.
Requirements:- Proven leadership experience in a comparable setting is essential
- Willingness to attend medical and D&A testing in Newcastle
- Able to pass full rail medical and Drugs & Alcohol tests
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office and email software
- Able to maintain a good level of physical fitness
The salary for this role is approximately £13.56 per hour.
This is an initial 6-month contract with potential for permanent employment. The company offers training and development opportunities, free travel on its network, and discounted fares on other train operators.
