Electrical Test and Inspection Engineer

Our client, a leading provider of electrical services, is seeking an experienced Electrical Test and Inspection Engineer to join their team in the Glasgow area.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough electrical inspections and testing of customers' installations, including emergency lighting testing, fire alarm inspections, mains analysis, thermal imaging, and small remedial repairs as required.
  • Complete all relevant reports and certifications using cloud-based certification software, ensuring timely submission and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with the project team to ensure seamless execution of LED lighting replacements, both during and outside regular working hours, in line with the project schedule.
Requirements:
  • Flexibility to work 40 hours per week, including evening and twilight shifts to support customers' requirements.
  • Ability to travel to sites across ROI and flexibility to stop over when required.
  • Full UK Driving Licence with 6 points or less.
  • SVQ level 3 or City & Guilds 2360/2330 part 1 & 2 qualification or equivalent Level 3 NQV.
  • City & Guilds 18th Edition qualification.
  • City & Guilds 2391/2394 & 2395.
  • AM2 or equivalent.
  • IPAF 3a & 3b licence.
  • Good level of IT literacy.
  • Experience working in an electrical testing environment.
  • Experience with electrical installation/project work, specifically commercial lighting replacements.
  • Understanding of UK Health and Safety Regulations within the workplace.
