European Bank Capital Regulatory Reporting Accountant

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced European Bank Capital Regulatory Reporting Accountant to join our Finance Professional Services Centre team in Manchester.
About the Role:This role is responsible for delivering high-quality COREP production for the European Bank, including timely delivery within prescribed regulatory deadlines. The successful candidate will review daily and monthly Capital and Leverage ratios for the European Bank and other capital reporting for internal and external recipients.
Key Responsibilities:- Reporting: Be a key player in the delivery of high-quality COREP production for the European Bank, including timely delivery within prescribed regulatory deadlines.
- Stakeholder management: Develop close relationships with European Bank Market Centre report owner and other business areas, particularly Regulatory Change and Controllers.
- Acting as an SME within the Capital team through carrying out an effective review of the production and being the key contact and SME for capital reporting.
- Oversight & Controls: Ensure all reports are produced in a strong operational control environment with well-evidenced reviews, checklists, variance analysis, reconciliations, and procedures.
- Knowledge: Stay abreast of legislative, accounting, and regulatory developments, as well as knowledge of external reporting requirements and procedures.
- Assurance: Key involvement with internal and external assurance activities, provide deliverable requests, walkthroughs, and respond to queries in a timely manner.
- Change: Assist with the provision of regulatory support for relevant projects, including new regulatory reporting production requirements and regulatory system improvements, new business and product launches.
- Qualified Accountant with ACCA/ACA/CIMA/CPA Full Accreditation or equivalent preferred with a number of years total experience.
- Regulatory Reporting experience essential, including regulatory and accounting systems and processes, COREP experience highly desirable.
- Organized and structured working methodology, attention to detail, and highly motivated.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, including communication, planning, and escalation.
- Experience of a fast-moving, deadline-oriented, highly controlled, multi-national/functional organization.
