Residential Childcare Manager

Atrium Associates Ltd is seeking a skilled Registered Children's Manager to lead our residential care team. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a team of caregivers, ensuring all staff are trained and compliant with care protocols
- Develop and implement individual care plans tailored to the needs of each child, focusing on their physical, emotional, and social development
- Administer medications as prescribed and monitor for any side effects or reactions
- Maintain accurate records of care provided, including medication administration and any changes in health status
- Collaborate with families to provide updates on their children's progress and address any concerns they may have
- Ensure the facility adheres to all regulatory requirements and Ofsted standards
- Provide guidance and support to staff in handling challenging behaviours associated with dementia or other conditions
- Foster a safe, nurturing environment that promotes the well-being of all children in our care
Qualifications and Experience
- At least 2 years of experience within the last 5 years in a role directly related to the residential care of children
- Proven experience in a leadership role for at least one year requiring the supervision and management of staff working in a care role
- Have or be willing to work towards level 5 Diploma in Leadership and management for Residential Childcare or equivalent qualification (NVQ)
- Strong knowledge of medication administration protocols and experience developing care plans for children with diverse needs
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with children, families, and staff alike
- Experience in supervising staff and managing teams effectively
- A compassionate approach to caregiving, with a focus on enhancing the quality of life for children under your supervision
