About the Role:

Circet IRE & UK is seeking an experienced HSEQ Advisor to support our various projects and meet the requirements of our Safety, Quality, and Environment Management systems.

This role involves assisting site teams and managers in recognising hazards, minimising risks, and ensuring high standards of HSEQ are attained and continually improved.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement the HSEQ Management system in line with OHSAS 18001 (ISO 45001), ISO 9001, and ISO 14001.
  • Ensure compliance with HSEQ statutory duties and report to management on the performance of the management systems.
  • Provide assurance to the HSEQ Manager by monitoring and intervening to ensure operations meet HSEQ legislation.
  • Support the development of Circet culture and assist in achieving continuous improvement in HSEQ performance.
  • Oversee and evaluate HSEQ performance across the region, working with senior management as appropriate.
  • Offer competent advice on HSEQ matters to the company and its staff.
  • Ensure all worksites are fully compliant with legal HSEQ obligations.
  • Develop and instigate HSEQ initiatives, ensuring continual improvement and developing HSEQ targets, objectives, and KPIs.
  • Complete Construction Stage Plans, Pre-Qualification & Tender Documents, Emergency Response Plans, and approve, monitor, and review sub-contractor works.
  • Write risk assessments and method statements, conduct site audits and inspections, and assist with Occupational Health issues.
  • Train staff, including inductions, toolbox talks, and ensure records of incidents are maintained and investigations are undertaken to establish root causes and prevent reoccurrences.
  • Monitor working hours to avoid exceeding relevant legislation and internal policy.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Level 7 Degree qualified or equivalent.
  • NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent.
  • Extensive experience in a civil engineering or telecommunications environment.
  • Effective communication and reporting skills.
  • Ability to work to and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office packages.
  • CSCS Card.
  • A passion for Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality.
