Job Description: Additional Learning Needs Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as an Additional Learning Needs Assistant. The successful candidate will work closely with our teaching staff and other professionals to provide person-centred support to learners with additional learning needs.

The ideal candidate will have 5 GCSE's grade A-C (including Maths and English) or equivalent and experience of working with people with additional learning needs, learning difficulties and/or disabilities and experience of working within education or a care setting.

We offer a competitive salary range of £18,000 - £20,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience. In addition to your annual salary, you will also receive a generous pension scheme, term-time only working, cash health plan, employee assistance programme, access to our Cycle to Work, Headspace app and access to money saving benefits through our Reward Gateway scheme.

Responsibilities:
• Provide individualised support to learners with additional learning needs to enable them to achieve their full potential.
• Collaborate with teaching staff and other professionals to develop and implement individualised learning plans.
• Support learners with accessing resources and equipment to facilitate their learning.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with learners, parents and carers to ensure a smooth transition into post-16 education and training.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of inclusive practices and policies across the college.
