Job Title: Electronics PCB Layout Engineer

Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Electronics PCB Layout Engineer to join our client's team in Ipswich. As a key member of the development team, you will be responsible for designing and developing PCB layouts that meet customer needs and industry standards.

Salary: The estimated salary for this role is £55,000 - £70,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Responsibilities:

Main Responsibilities:
  • Design high-quality PCB layouts using Altium Designer.
  • Work on complex projects with multiple deliverables.
  • Collaborate with the design and firmware teams for seamless hardware-software integration.
  • Manage project timelines to meet deadlines and milestones.
  • Provide technical support and communicate directly with customers to understand their requirements.
  • Contribute to improving PCB design processes continuously.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in PCB layout design, including single-layer, double-layer, and multi-layer PCBs.
  • Strong knowledge of DFM (Design for Manufacture) and EMC compliance principles.
  • Experience with both surface-mount and through-hole components.
  • Ability to manage complex projects with multiple deliverables.
  • Excellent customer-facing and interpersonal skills.
