About the Role:

Stericycle is a leading provider of compliance-based services that protect people and brands, promote health and well-being, and safeguard the environment. As a Service Driver with Stericycle, you will play a vital role in safely managing materials that could otherwise spread disease, contaminate the environment, or compromise one's identity.

Job Purpose:

The Service Driver is responsible for collecting, destroying, moving, and unloading confidential wastepaper and electronic storage devices on behalf of various customers within the professional, financial, and retail industries.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Arrive punctually and dressed in Stericycle uniform at the stated start time for your branch each day and clock-in.
  2. Check client allocation (routing) for the day's run of your assigned truck.
  3. Complete a conscientious circle-check of your assigned vehicle, using the circle checklist form.
  4. Obtain all necessary documentation for the day's operations.
  5. Leave the yard a maximum of 20 minutes from clock-in start time.
  6. Unload or park your vehicle as per branch process.
  7. Attend a de-brief with the CSS team.
  8. Record the time of arrival on the handheld device.
  9. Politely greet the client contact and record any changes of which they may advise you.
  10. Quietly and conscientiously remove the customer's confidential material from premises while adhering to company security and safety policies.
  11. Give and explain a certificate of destruction to the client.
  12. Record the time the material was shredded and loaded on the truck.

Requirements:

  1. A valid LGV HGV C Category driving license.
  2. Current drivers CPC together with a digital tachograph.
  3. Previous driving/customer-facing roles would be advantageous but not essential.
  4. Positive attitude.
  5. Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  6. Conscientious with good attention to detail.
  7. Good work ethic.
  8. Flexible.
  9. Self-motivated.
  10. Good time management skills.
  11. Reputable and trustworthy.
  12. Previous experience in following security and safety processes.
  13. Good spoken English language skills.
  14. Ability to read and understand customer information sheets.
  15. Ability to write clear messages on daily reporting sheets.
