Job Title: Field Based Health, Safety and Environmental Director

At ATTB - The Big Jobsite, we are seeking an experienced Field Based Health, Safety and Environmental Director to oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of policies and procedures designed to promote safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible operations.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining our quality management systems (QMS) according to ISO9001 and EN 9100 standards. This includes monitoring production and operational processes to meet quality standards, performing audits, inspections, and reviews of quality processes, identifying areas for improvement, and performing root cause analyses and corrective action processes for quality issues.

In addition to quality management, the Field Based Health, Safety and Environmental Director will establish and enforce health and safety protocols in compliance with ISO 45001 to minimize workplace risks. This includes conducting risk assessments and identifying safety hazards in aerospace manufacturing, assembly, and operational environments, leading safety training sessions focused on aerospace hazards, safe material handling, and equipment operation.

The role also involves maintaining and monitoring an ISO 14001-compliant environmental management system (EMS) to address the environmental impact. This includes ensuring compliance with environmental regulations for emissions, waste management, and resource use specific to the aerospace sector, conducting environmental audits and assessments, identifying areas for improvement, and promoting sustainability initiatives within the organization.

We offer a competitive salary of £45K-£55K pa + Benefits, including company pension scheme, private medical insurance, life assurance, and employee assistance programmes.

A minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role is required, along with a bachelor's degree in engineering, quality management, environmental science, or a related field. Relevant certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA, or ISO lead auditor certifications are also desirable.
