About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our Fostering Recruitment and Assessing Service as a Recruitment and Assessment Social Worker. As a key member of our team, you will be committed to providing high-quality care to Children Looked After and Young People, raising the profile of fostering to ensure all children have positive experiences whilst living away from their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Recruit, assess, train, and support all internally approved foster carers, providing care to any Child or Young Person Looked After.
  • Complete Fostering Assessments and supervise foster carers.
  • Work collaboratively with other teams to ensure the best possible outcomes for children and young people.
Requirements
  • A relevant Social Work qualification and registration with Social Work England.
  • Two years post-qualification experience of working in a Children and Families Division, including experience in a fostering service.
  • Sound knowledge of the legislative framework of social services departments relating to children and fostering.
