Control and Instrumentation Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Control and Instrumentation Engineer to join our team in Seascale, Cumbria.
About the Position:
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all electrical, control, and instrumentation maintenance routines, defect repairs, and projects at the plant are carried out in a safe and efficient manner to support the 24/7 operation of the plant. This includes working closely with other members of the engineering and maintenance team to review contractor method statements, risk assessments, and other safety documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Performing scheduled maintenance tasks and troubleshooting EC&I problems.
- Providing technical support to engineers and technicians during day-to-day operations.
- Developing and improving maintenance procedures, work plans, and project scoping documents.
- Specifying and ordering spares and replacement equipment in line with site quality procedures.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in control and instrumentation engineering.
- Strong knowledge of control and instrumentation systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 per annum (dependent on experience).
