Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Class 1 HGV driver to join our team at Gregory Distribution. As a Class 1 HGV driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods across the UK, working with our customers to meet their delivery needs, and maintaining a high level of customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Loading and unloading vehicles
  • Dealing with customers face-to-face and over the phone
  • Keeping in regular contact with the transport team for updates on progress and managing customer expectations
  • Attending regular training sessions

Requirements:

  • UK HGV Class 1 CE Licence
  • Current DCPC Card and UK Digital Tachograph Driver Card
  • Experience of Fridge trailers is preferred but not essential, as full training will be given
  • Passionate about providing excellent customer service
  • Working to deadlines
  • Confident, polite, and a team player
  • Good geographical knowledge
  • Fit, flexible, hardworking, and self-motivated
