Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Medical Secretary to join our team at Royal Papworth Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. This is a full-time opportunity for an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to support our clinicians in delivering excellence.

The ideal candidate will have excellent keyboard skills, attention to detail, and the ability to transcribe clinical correspondence, add patients to waiting lists, input data, and perform other essential tasks.

About the Role

This role will be based at Royal Papworth Hospital but may require attendance at Kingfisher House. Once trained, there will be an opportunity to work remotely for part of the week.

  • Tracking patients through the pathway and meeting oncology waiting times
  • Adding patients to the waiting list
  • Communication with patients, relatives, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Diary management
  • Referral to Treatment (RTT)
Responsibilities and Requirements

The successful candidate will have:

  • Keyboard skills to RSA Level 2/3 or equivalent
  • European Computer Driving License (ECDL) or equivalent qualification or experience
  • Level 3 or equivalent qualification or experience in Administration or Customer Service

A salary of £25,000 - £30,000 per annum is offered for this role, depending on experience. The trust values diversity and welcomes applications from all candidates who meet the minimum post criteria.
