Commercial Finance Analyst Job Description

At Sharpsmart, we are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Finance Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our Commercial Finance team, you will play a crucial role in supporting commercial decision-making through financial analysis and providing recommendations to senior leaders to optimize and expand business performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Analysis: Perform financial analysis, modelling, forecasting, and reporting to identify trends, benchmarking, and to increase financial performance.
  • Cost Analysis: Support cost-analysis and price modelling.
  • Financial Status: Track and determine financial status by analyzing actual results in comparison with forecasts.
  • Reporting: Effectively present findings and recommendations to the Commercial Finance Manager and Business Unit Leaders.
  • Business Intelligence: Provide weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting in support of business initiatives and performance.
  • Budgeting: Aid in budgeting and expenditure planning processes.
  • ERP and BI Systems: Develop experience in ERP and business intelligence systems.
Requirements:
  • Degree Qualification: Degree qualified in a relevant subject.
  • Experience: Minimum 1-2 years experience either through internships, work placement, or employment in financial data analysis.
  • Skills: Experience reviewing and analyzing costs, trends, profitability, margins, estimates, and contracts. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Communication: Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Travel: Driving licence and willingness to travel.
