About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Research Nurse to join our team at University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust (UHBW). As a Senior Research Nurse, you will play a key role in the management and leadership of our research team, ensuring the safe and effective delivery of clinical research studies across our trust.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the management and leadership of the research team, including research nurses and administrative staff.
  • Act as a resource for staff, researchers, research participants, and patients, providing guidance on regulatory and legal frameworks related to clinical research.
  • Take a lead in ensuring the safe and effective delivery of a designated number of clinical research studies.
  • Collaborate with research teams, patients, carers, and study organizers to ensure high-quality care and adherence to study protocols.
  • Develop and maintain effective communication and safe working practices within a complex regulatory framework.
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse level 1 (Adult) with current NMC registration.
  • ICH GCP training or willingness to undertake training.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work flexibly according to role need.
  • Enthusiasm for and desire to embed research within clinical practice.
