We are seeking a highly skilled Site Maintenance Specialist to join our team at the Wise Employment Group for a Site Operative role. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the site's cleanliness and tidiness, as well as operating Biomass CHP plant equipment and ensuring safe and efficient operations.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manual handling, materials handling, and forklift operation. They will also possess excellent teamwork and communication skills, as well as a positive 'can-do' attitude.

Key responsibilities include baling operations, shaving machine operation, drying product management, blade sharpening, site maintenance, heavy machinery operation, material handling, quality control, routine maintenance, and plant assistance.

  • Baling Operations: Manage the baling machine for efficient material processing.
  • Shaving Machine: Operate and maintain the shaving machine for biomass processing.
  • Drying Product: Ensure proper drying of biomass products according to quality standards.
  • Blade Sharpening: Perform blade changes and sharpening using specialized machinery.
  • Site Maintenance: Maintain site cleanliness and tidiness for a safe working environment.
  • Heavy Machinery Operation: Use JCBs and forklifts for operational tasks.
  • Material Handling: Load the shaving machine and fill the walking floor with biomass materials.
  • Quality Control: Check and ensure the moisture content of processed biomass products.
  • Routine Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections and repairs as needed.
  • Plant Assistance: Collaborate with Plant Operators and provide support as necessary.

This is a permanent position, not a temporary assignment, and work hours are Monday to Friday, 7am to 5pm. The job offers competitive benefits, including training, company pension, onsite parking, and a performance-based bonus.
