Position: Year 7 Phonics Educator

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver tailored phonics interventions to Year 7 students who need additional literacy support.
  • Create engaging lesson plans that bridge the gap between primary and secondary phonics knowledge.
  • Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to staff and parents.
  • Work closely with the English department and SEN team to ensure effective literacy development.
  • Use a range of strategies to meet the diverse needs of students and support their transition from primary to secondary education.

Essential Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching phonics at the primary level, ideally with Key Stage 1 or 2.
  • A proven track record of improving students' literacy and phonics skills.
  • A commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
