Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer

Join MDE Consultants Ltd as a skilled Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer to support our production team in Cumbria. This exciting opportunity will see you working on a continental 4 on, 4 off, 12-hour shift pattern, ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment and processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and breakdown repairs on various process equipment, adhering to safety, engineering, and hygiene standards.
  • Collaborate with Team Leaders and Production teams to improve production efficiency and minimize downtime.
  • Conduct regular Planned PPM and reactive maintenance as needed, ensuring accurate documentation of breakdowns and maintenance activities.
  • Propose plant modifications and improvements to increase efficiency and inform future maintenance strategies.
Main Responsibilities:
  • Complete tasks including welding, fabrication, and mechanical repairs, demonstrating a logical approach to fault finding and resolution.
  • Ensure engineering support is available during all operational hours, maintaining accurate records of breakdowns and PPMs.
  • Operate in adherence to Health & Safety best practices, minimizing risks to self and others.
