Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize specialist clinical knowledge to inform decision-making and clinical judgment from initial assessment to care planning.
  • Provide expert advice to the Primary Care and multidisciplinary team on patient management, assessment, treatment, and review planning.
  • Deliver a specialist community-based mental health service for individuals in crisis, addressing suicidal and psychotic episodes, and substance misuse.
  • Offer specialist advice to healthcare professionals, other agencies, carers, clients, and relatives.
  • Contribute to the development of the service, implementing and evaluating evidence-based standards, guidelines, and policies.
  • Provide teaching and supervision to junior staff and students.
Requirements

This role requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/record. If not already a current PVG member for the required regulatory group, an application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before commencing in post.
