At Stepnell, we are committed to delivering high-quality construction projects. We are seeking an experienced Preconstruction Specialist to join our Rugby team and contribute to the success of our preconstruction team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and support competitive tender and framework submissions from first principles for construction projects.
  • Actively participate in tender processes for projects up to £2 million.
  • Participate in post-tender negotiations and ensure a successful handover to delivery teams upon award.
  • Maintain professional communication, liaising confidently with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Build effective relationships to foster trust and respect within our supply chain and with customers.
  • Assist in developing tender strategies, managing enquiries, and preparing accurate cost estimates.
  • Support bid management by influencing suppliers and subcontractors to achieve optimum solutions and the best net price.
  • Take ownership of individual tenders, presenting quality pricing packages and fully scheduled risk and opportunity registers.

Qualifications & Competencies:

  • Proven experience in preconstruction and tendering for complex projects.
  • Familiarity with local supply chains and estimating software systems.
  • Excellent communication, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • A proactive approach to learning about industry changes and innovations.
