Teaching Assistant Opportunity in Mainstream Primary School

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support a child in Reception with Autism and learning difficulties at a mainstream primary school in Newham.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 support to a child in Reception with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and learning difficulties.
  • Assist with personal care and ensure the child is comfortable and supported throughout the day.
  • Work alongside the class teacher and SENCO to implement individualized learning plans.
  • Use creativity, patience, and energy to engage the child in activities and support her social and emotional development.
  • Support other children across the class as needed.

About You:

  • Experience in Early Years (EYFS) is desirable.
  • A proactive, energetic approach and the ability to think on your feet.
  • A positive attitude, with a willingness to learn new skills and adapt to the needs of the child.
  • Compassionate and nurturing, with a passion for helping young children achieve their full potential.
