At Teaching Personnel, we are seeking a skilled Cover Supervisor to provide general cover across our supportive Secondary Schools in Northampton and surrounding areas.

This flexible role will involve delivering pre-planned lessons and supervising pupils to cover PPA and short-term absence, ensuring effective behaviour management in line with school policy and engaging pupils within the learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and structured lessons to meet the needs of pupils across KS3/KS4 and sometimes KS5 curriculum
  • Supervise pupils in a supportive and inclusive manner, promoting positive behaviour and attendance
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to ensure seamless coverage of lessons and maintain high standards of education
  • Communicate effectively with pupils, parents, and school staff to address any concerns or issues

Requirements:

  • Availability for standard working hours: 8:15 am to 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday
  • Prior experience working in schools is advantageous, but not essential
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills, with a focus on behaviour and pastoral care
  • Subject-specific qualifications and a passion for education are highly desirable
