Job Title: Plumbing Instructor

Job Summary:

  • Deliver engaging and practical lessons in plumbing, including pipework, installations, and system maintenance, to students with Educational Health Care Plans and additional needs.
  • Teach the fundamental skills needed for a career in plumbing, adapting lessons to suit individual learning styles and promoting a nurturing and structured environment.
  • Experience with SEMH is critical, and other relevant experience, such as working with students in alternative education settings or pupil referral units, is also suitable.
  • Provide a supportive and inclusive learning environment, fostering positive relationships with students and promoting their academic and personal growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of students, incorporating City & Guilds experience where possible.
  • Assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance to ensure they meet their full potential.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and develop innovative teaching methods.
  • Contribute to the development of a positive and inclusive school culture, promoting the well-being and success of all students.

Requirements:

  • Qualified teachers with or without QTS or QTLS, as well as instructors, are eligible to apply.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build meaningful relationships with students and colleagues.
  • Resilience, enthusiasm, and confidence in teaching and supporting students with diverse needs.
