This is an exciting opportunity to join a global Aerospace and Defence manufacturer organisation based in Greater Manchester on a permanent basis. As a Production Engineer, you will provide technical support for products within the Operations function.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Providing technical input within Operations (Manufacturing, Quality and Supply Chain).
  • Justifying changes within an Operations environment.
  • Supporting the supply chain function with technical queries.
  • Implementing fresh technological methods enhancing operational performance and customer satisfaction.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • An experienced background in a similar industry, demonstrating multi-functional engineering competence.
  • A solid understanding of Lean Principles and process variation.
  • Experience with Core Manufacturing tools, including OEE, Value Stream Mapping, and Continuous Improvement methods.
  • A deep understanding of APQP to assist members of the NPI Team.
  • A degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and previous experience in electronic manufacturing (Aerospace industry experience is highly desirable).
  • Strong problem-solving skills addressing technical issues (Mechanical, Electrical & Process).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • A proactive approach to preventing failures using PFMEA or Ishikawa methods.
