GRAHAM Group is a distinguished Tier One contractor with a legacy of excellence, demonstrating our commitment to delivering significant value to clients over the years. We are currently seeking a skilled Lead Cost Estimator to enhance our Civil Engineering team and contribute to a variety of innovative projects.
The ideal candidate will possess strong commercial insight and a successful history of managing financially viable Civil Engineering projects. Key responsibilities will encompass meticulous cost management, ensuring value recovery on projects, fostering relationships with suppliers and subcontractors, and guiding junior team members. Expertise in managing NEC contracts is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Defining project budgets and cost codes for precise financial reporting
- Evaluating main contract and subcontract stipulations
- Acquiring subcontract packages and preparing tender documents
- Monitoring expenses and projecting completion costs
- Overseeing contract administration and drafting contractual communications
- Collaborating with the Employer's team to advance commercial matters
- Effectively managing team resources
- Conducting delay assessments and preparing narratives for claims
- Addressing subcontractor concerns
- Implementing variation/compensation event procedures for commercial safeguarding
- Projecting cash flow and budgeting
- Coordinating with procurement to establish allowances
- Participating in progress and commercial meetings, representing the organization
