Job Summary:
The Recruitment Group is seeking a skilled and experienced Shift Team Leader to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for supervising a small team, overseeing daily operations, and leading the team to success.
Main Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate team members during shifts to ensure efficient operations
- Support the production manager with all lines, assisting on jobs to ensure completion on time
- Ensure all staff are suitably trained, happy, and engaged to maintain safety at all times
- Quality control: conduct regular physical checks on all production lines and maintain a high level of care
- Monitor staff performance and provide feedback to management as required
- Act as a key holder, responsible for securely locking up the factory at the end of the shift
Requirements:
- Demonstrated experience in team management and leadership
- Strong supervisory skills with the ability to motivate and guide staff
- Experience in contract packing environments is desirable
- Experience of working in BRC-approved packing lines is advantageous
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with team members and customers
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards
- A keen eye for detail and the ability to drive quality and continuous improvement initiatives
