Main Purpose of Role

To work as part of a regional team in a field-based role to repair, service, and install a full range of industrial and commercial doors, gates, barriers, and loading bay equipment on our clients' industrial, commercial, educational, and residential properties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct weekly vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Repair, service, and install a variety of industrial and commercial products, including doors, gates, barriers, and loading bay equipment.
  • Complete job-related forms and documentation in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Perform dynamic risk assessments to identify potential hazards and take necessary precautions.
  • Develop and implement risk assessment method statements (RAMS) to ensure safe working practices.
  • Adhere to quality management systems (QMS) to maintain high standards of workmanship and customer satisfaction.
  • Support the depot and depot team, as well as the regional team, to achieve business objectives.
  • Participate in out-of-hours rota to ensure 24/7 coverage and customer satisfaction.
  • Attend health and safety meetings to stay informed and contribute to a safe working environment.
  • Maximize sales opportunities by identifying and pursuing new business leads.
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams to ensure seamless collaboration and customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct customer surveys to gather feedback and improve services.
  • Complete timesheets accurately and on time to ensure prompt payment and efficient operations.
  • Mentor trainee engineers to develop their skills and knowledge.
  • Identify hazards on customer sites and take necessary precautions to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Manage van stock effectively to ensure availability of necessary materials and equipment.
  • Obtain quotes for materials, goods, and equipment to ensure cost-effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Participate in project walkthroughs with surveyors to ensure accurate assessments and effective project management.
