Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Firmware Engineer to join our team at ARM. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing firmware using VHDL, verifying designs with VHDL or System Verilog, and adhering to a structured firmware design process.

About the Role:

  • Design and develop firmware using VHDL, ensuring high-quality and efficient code.
  • Analyze system-level documents to derive detailed firmware requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate firmware into larger systems.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in firmware development.
  • Develop and maintain firmware test plans and verification strategies.

Requirements:

  • Strong background in electronics and electrical engineering, with a focus on FPGA/Digital techniques.
  • Experience with Model Driven Engineering tools, including MATLAB and Simulink.
  • Proficient in debugging firmware designs and supporting system-related verification and integration.
  • Familiarity with High-Speed Interface Design & Integration, including PCIe, DDR3, Ethernet.
  • Knowledge of FPGA technologies from Xilinx, Altera, or Microsemi and their tools.

Salary: Up to £70 per hour (Inside IR35)
